endless entertainment

Osaka’s vibrant culture blends tradition and modernity, known for its lively street food scene, like takoyaki and okonomiyaki, and bustling markets such as Dotonbori. The city’s humor, expressed through manzai comedy, reflects its friendly, down-to-earth spirit. Historic sites like Osaka Castle contrast with contemporary hubs like Umeda, while festivals, including Tenjin Matsuri, showcase deep-rooted traditions.

Let’s check these some features before you visit the Amazing Osaka!

It's been a month since Expo 2025 opened!

It’s been a month since Expo 2025 opened, and already Myaku-Myaku merchandise is selling out, especially the stuffed toys. Even the online store shows many “Sold out” items. I guess most people never thought Myaku-Myaku would become such a hit after so many negative comments before the expo.
Looks like Myaku-Myaku factories in Indonesia, etc., will be busy for the next 5 months as we wait for a new batch of Myaku-Myaku goods.
Photo shows the official store in Shin-Osaka Station before and after the expo started.
Previously I was finding this stuffed animal so strange. I would never buy one. At the expo I changed my mind. When I won the huge stuffed at the lottery near Japan pavilion, I was so happy and decided to bring him home 😂

In 2025, Osaka shines with local gems. Enjoy okonomiyaki at Ajinoya Honten, explore Osaka Castle Museum, and visit Shitennoji Temple for its historic pagoda. Picnic at Osaka Castle Park’s cherry blossom lawns or play at Expocity. Pair with Expo 2025 and Dotonbori nightlife for a vibrant trip.

Osaka’s 2025 nightlife thrives in Dotonbori, Namba, Umeda, and Amerikamura, offering izakayas, cocktail bars, clubs like Giraffe Resort, and quirky spots like Space Station. Open till 5 AM, it’s welcoming and affordable, with pub crawls and Expo 2025 digital wallet integration.

Expo 2025 Osaka, April 13-Oct 13 on Yumeshima Island, themed “Designing Future Society for Our Lives,” expects 28M visitors and 160 countries. It features AI, biotech, the Grand Ring, and a cashless Digital Wallet, blending tech and culture, though some report long waits.

My 2 days experience in Expo: If you do not understand Japanese, don’t waste time to go to any Japanese Corporate Pavilion; on site on line reservation never works ; Gundam, no chance as the website could not support, always error… Germany and France Pavillions are really good… The overall experience of Expo is to enjoy the architecture of each Pavillion only. If you don’t have strong legs and patience for queuing up… don’t go to Osaka Expo, it is full of disappointment 😒

Day 9 (4/21):Belgium pavilion’s restrant It’s my fav restrant at this EXPO

The restaurant that a Japanese  went in Expo , it looks so much fantastic as the WOW he posted .

Expo 2025 Osaka, on Yumeshima Island until October 13, is a captivating global event themed “Designing Future Society for Our Lives,” featuring 160+ countries, the Grand Ring, and innovations like flying cars and Kura Sushi’s giant conveyor-belt restaurant. Expect immersive pavilions, cultural events like Korea Day with VIVIZ, and quirky touches like the Myaku-Myaku mascot. Despite some gripes about long lines and spotty internet, its blend of tech, culture, and sustainability makes it a must-see.
